Sketch to scrap: Magic

Hi guys,

IMG_7201.jpgThanks for joining me again for another sketch. Today’s sketch is going to be a 12’x12′. It has one 4’x6′ photo and a cluster of embellishments on its left side. It also has patterned paper covering the top portion of the spread. So here is the sketch.

Magic.jpgI decided to scrap about another favourite part of my trip to Japan which were the meals had on the fast trains (Shinkansen). The amount of seafood available was just awesome and the convenience of being able to get them at the train station was even better. I mainly used the Hip Kit Club’s scrapbook kit from August 2016 (my favourite kit so far) and also the acrylic word from Ali Edwards’ Magic story kit. Here are some close ups and the process video.

This fascinating trip

IMG_7181.jpgHi guys,

I hope you are well. Today’s sketch is something special. I’m going to scrap a panoramic photo. I took so many panoramic photos in the past but I’ve never scrapped one. So today I thought it would be fun to try something different. I’m staying with an 8.5’x11′. I’m loving this size at the moment. So here is the sketch.

I decided to scrap a photo I took of a Zen garden we visited in Japan. It was so peaceful and I just love how the panoramic photo could capture the atmosphere of the space. I printed the photo out using my Canon Selphy which was really simple. Here are some closeups and the process video. I hope you have a wonderful week and thanks for stopping by.

Sketch to scrap: Dream car

IMG_7140.jpg

Hi guys,

Today’s sketch is once again an 8.5’x11′ spread. It has two 3’x4′ photos. I’d say it’s a left heavy sketch. There’s a strip of patterned paper along the left and embellishments going from top left to bottom right. So here is the sketch.

I decided to scrap about a car we saw in Japan. Unfortunately we can’t get them here in Australia. It was perfect though like a cute mini van. I decided to mix products from the Hip Kit Club’s August scrapbook kit, Paige Evans’ fancy free collection and Ali Edwards’ go story stamp. I really like how the stamping on the top left turned out. Here are some close ups and the process video.

Hi guys,

I’m back with another sketch. Today’s sketch is slightly different than the usual. I tend to make a 12’x12′ page. But today’s sketch will be 8.5’x11′. For non-US folks, an A4 size page would be absolutely fine. The sketch contains one photo. The photo is about 3.5’x5.5′. I essentially printed a 4×6 but felt that it was a little too big so I trimmed it a bit. Here is the sketch.

Happy together.jpg

I decided to scrap about a photo I took last week when we were having brunch on the weekend. We go out for brunch almost every weekend and I just love unwinding over a slow cup of coffee in the morning. While I was having a coffee, I felt like the view from my perspective was so comforting and worth recording. So I took out my phone and snapped a photo. I used products from the hip kit club’s scrapbook kits from August and July 2016. Here are some closeups and the process video. Have a great week!
